Crowned Heads La Vereda 56
Not only are just seven pairs at Perez-Carrillo Jr.’s Tabacalera La Alianza S.A. factory allowed to make La Vereda, these special rollers take extra time, making these cigars at just 60 percent of their usual production rate.
The blend was created with Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, crafting the most premium cigar in Crowned Heads’ portfolio to date. The name (which translates to The Path) was inspired by a song called “De Camino a La Vereda,” with the moral of the story being “to stay on your path.”
The blend includes four-year-aged shade-grown wrapper from the Jalapa region of Nicaragua, a Jalapa binder, and fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. This is a medium-full intensity cigar, Cubanesque yet fuller in body and with flawless construction. The cigar lingers on the palate with nuanced complexities of peppered toast, cardamom, worn leather, and ginger snap cookies.
